SC103 (NY, NY) is one of those special projects with a slow burn. Two friends, two design professionals, each with experience in the trenches, front facing and from the ground up. In design school they each began the long process of developing their own, specific vernacular along with technical know-how. Post-school, that language sharpened with exposure to not just design and inspiration, but to consumers, retail culture, the life and movement of clothing on a body being worked every day. And then they began deciding what to reject from this new body of knowledge, and what to keep. And how to direct that new understanding. So now, we see the beginnings of a collection that still leads with instinct, not overthinking (unless it's problem-solving), piecing together distinct cultural influences in a post-modern barbaric yawp of a line. We love it, we love them.
