Really good editorials—not advertisements—but editorials, meaning good pictures with incredible clothes that tell stories and share moods. Little stories, diaries, days in the life, and snapshots of how some of the most interesting minds making clothes are going about doing what they do. Numbered edition of 1000. This edition includes a second book, a travelogue made in the cinematographic tradition, shot by Antonio Macarro and made with director Raya Martin. The film can be downloaded at manyofthem.com

On the series:
Photographer Antonio Macarro works out of San Sebastian, Spain. His fine art and fashion work has the unique ability of acting as the essential connective thread between two worlds, without dominating the subject but leaving the personal echo of his distinct vision. His combination of sensitive light and compassionate detachment is shared by many of the designers and fashion industry personages he documents. Rather than simply photographing clothes, Macarro has linked traditions of classic portraiture with editorial focus, giving the reader a strong imprint as to the motivations and direction of the individuals profiled. Lively, thoughtful interviews and a visual analysis of thematics are indirect and satisfying.

This project, Cosmic Wonder (JP, countryside), is one of the most lovely and idiosyncratic happening right now. Their immutable designs embody an integrity and intellectualism that place it outside fashion, outside trend. Its primaries are extraordinarily kind, an important quality reflected in their work that has a way of shining through in the wearer. Really inspirational.
