What attracted us to this style was the parenthetical shape that curves under the lobe, a little bit of danger with the pointed top, and the sphere back that puts the period on the look.

This ultralight, full skirt reads as formal, but feels like anything but. This special fiamma fil-coupé fabric allows for architectural volumes and couture sensibility, but could be as comfy as sweats with its elastic waist and side pockets. Not only is the iconic Cecilie Bahnsen silhouette, it's in this incredible fiamma fil-coupé fabric. A flattering bandeau bodice with delicate spaghetti straps flow out into an A-line peplum. Super light and flattering on many types of bodies. Finished with a zip closure.

Oooh, it's sheer ripstop, as a blouse, with adjustable drawstring neckline for high/crew/boat style with the signature flower toggle. The gathers along the neckline fall down across the body, and further drawstrings at the cuffs. Most special, the hem is finished with a flower embroidered hem.

This looks a like a two piece but it's a full on look of a dress. Faille has always been used in couture, and the Betsy dress has that ring, without the strictness in formalities. The bodice is so intricate, creating much interest without giving anything away. A floral detailed drawstring cinches it all together to make it as close fitting as you like.

Taffeta is a party fabric but in this context it also reads as a super cool take on the volumized, tiered, baby doll dress. A clean, structural take on a mini dress (or tunic style top) that takes what is a very feminine style into an almost suiting place. So nice over wide legged trousers. Nice details at the shoulders and the flat front pocket reference of the season.

Pleats are a bit of a misnomer in this case, as these are small square pleats, non-traditional. Very interesting texturally, and a great way to give black some dimension and interest. This dress can be worn forward (v-neck) or backward (high neck), and also as a long tunic layered over trousers or skirt.
