Remaking the classic loafer into something pretty much entirely new. Rusched at the square toe box, with piped and raw edging. Leather embossed in a snakeskin pattern. Interior memory foam padding for super comfort. Includes extra heel caps. An unusual, special look and shape to these. 1.2" heel.

What an unusual bag, one style combined with a second. The exterior is an oversized bowler shape in black patent leather, with a second bag emerging from the interior, but in doctor shape made from brown embossed croc leather. Re-imagining Alpha’s MA-1 silhouette through Cecilie Bahnsen’s poetic lens to introduce a soft and sculptural bomber. Crafted from a black nylon, the cropped jacket has been reworked in layers of laser-cut nylon, bringing a new sense of movement to the classic shape. Textural floral decoupés move organically across the bomber as though they were plucked from nature. Utilitarian detailing like an arm pocket and oversized zipper offer a counterpoint to the romantic beauty of the fabrication, blending design languages for a fresh feel.

Inspired by a vintage gardening book Cecilie discovered with her son, Alpha’s classic N-2B bomber is re-imagined with textural nostalgia. Featuring hand-tinted botanical illustrations, the collage-like details bring both Cecilie Bahnsen’s admiration for florals and craftsmanship to the fore. Crafted from a green nylon, the jacket’s hood is thoughtfully adorned with a zip feature which allows the silhouette to shift. Unzipped, it reveals Alpha’s signature onion quilting in a contrasting pink, detailed with referential floral motifs that bloom from the inside out.

Edited by Weerasethakul himself, this publication offers a collection of perspectives on the multi-faceted practice of one of the leading artists and filmmakers of his generation. Encompassing the full complexity of the artist’s practice across media, The Serenity of Madness compiles a wide range of source materials and texts that have informed his work over the last two decades, including personal photographs, email conversations among friends, excerpts of websites and scientific studies, and poetry. The publication also features interviews by the film curator Andrea Lissoni, the art curator Gridthiya Gaweewong, and the Thai political activist Withit Chandawong.

The Serenity of Madness invites readers into Weerasethakul’s intimate exploration of his influences—in his words, “like a stream of consciousness, suffocated by the data.” It opens up new perspectives on an artistic practice that is anchored in stories often excluded from history in and out of Thailand: voices of the poor and ill, marginalized beings, and those silenced and censored for personal and political reasons.

Arts for Living offers an alternative, multifaceted history of an iconic cultural institution, The Abrons Arts Center. Located in New York City’s Lower East Side, the center was designed by Prentice and Chan, Ohlhausen, and built during the crisis-ridden 1970s as a community art center with educational facilities for a local low-income population. A rare interview with architect Lo-Yi Chan that elucidates the design process as well as essays by Alan Moore on the East Village art scene that arose out of the 1970s fiscal crisis and Kim Förster on pedagogical programs in architecture for youth in New York are accompanied by a color-photo essay by Jason Fulford depicting the current social life of the arts center. Designed by Geoff Han, and including original archival documentation, Arts for Living is an important architectural case study of a public space designed to foster community life in a multiethnic, changing neighborhood.
