This looks a like a two piece but it's a full on look of a dress. Faille has always been used in couture, and the Betsy dress has that ring, without the strictness in formalities. Made with Chess Club (PDX) in the spirit of our film series "1999" presented at the Tomorrow Theater. The shirt itself is by Gnuhr, and has one single seam across the back, a tubular construction for a boxy fit. Unisex.

Pleats are a bit of a misnomer in this case, as these are small square pleats, non-traditional. Very interesting texturally, and a great way to give black some dimension and interest. This dress can be worn forward (v-neck) or backward (high neck), and also as a long tunic layered over trousers or skirt.

In Nin Studio's signature curved pleating on front and back, the panels create a gentle motion for the eye to follow. Below the knee length. Made with upcycled poly, two side slits.
