Cecilie Bahnsen

Inspired by a vintage gardening book Cecilie discovered with her son, Alpha’s classic N-2B bomber is re-imagined with textural nostalgia. Featuring hand-tinted botanical illustrations, the collage-like details bring both Cecilie Bahnsen’s admiration for florals and craftsmanship to the fore. Crafted from a green nylon, the jacket’s hood is thoughtfully adorned with a zip feature which allows the silhouette to shift. Unzipped, it reveals Alpha’s signature onion quilting in a contrasting pink, detailed with referential floral motifs that bloom from the inside out.

Re-imagining Alpha’s MA-1 silhouette through Cecilie Bahnsen’s poetic lens to introduce a soft and sculptural bomber. Crafted from a black nylon, the cropped jacket has been reworked in layers of laser-cut nylon, bringing a new sense of movement to the classic shape. Textural floral decoupés move organically across the bomber as though they were plucked from nature. Utilitarian detailing like an arm pocket and oversized zipper offer a counterpoint to the romantic beauty of the fabrication, blending design languages for a fresh feel.

What kind of denim button is this? It's a thoroughly updated one, with exaggerated, volume sleeves and unexpected bows, and flower buttons. Something that can be worn every day, elevated with unusual details into a piece that's just as comfortable but stands out with personality.

Oooh, it's sheer ripstop, as a blouse, with adjustable drawstring neckline for high/crew/boat style with the signature flower toggle. The gathers along the neckline fall down across the body, and further drawstrings at the cuffs. Most special, the hem is finished with a flower embroidered hem.

This looks a like a two piece but it's a full on look of a dress. Faille has always been used in couture, and the Betsy dress has that ring, without the strictness in formalities. The bodice is so intricate, creating much interest without giving anything away. A floral detailed drawstring cinches it all together to make it as close fitting as you like.

Taffeta is a party fabric but in this context it also reads as a super cool take on the volumized, tiered, baby doll dress. This version of the classic party dress is brought into the modern era with sporty buckled straps and a big zip pocket across the bandeau and racerback top. So nice with bare shoulders, or more of a daytime look with a little t underneath.
