This one has been around for a while, but still a very rare find. Seatpadding is a domestic object that addresses the dilemma of dreary, but sometimes necessary plastic furniture. Take the humble patio chair, which is fairly standard in its measurements, and quite upsetting to look at while it's naked. Take instead this seat covering, which is anything but humble; it's in fact exceedingly clever, cool, and unexpected. Everything you would want in a great house guest. It's two layers of fabric—printed cotton in pedestrian brick motif, with a custom woven tapestry on the other side. In between is upholstery padding in three distinct sections (seat, back, head), providing structure, shape, and maximum comfort to an object that normally offers not much but pain. One could conceivably toss this cover on any number of chair-like manifestations and be successful. Reversible.

So this isn't really a suit jacket, not in the sense of temporal reality. It's a top made from traditional wool suiting fabric, it's a top in the spirit of the traditional wool suiting shape, it's a top that you wouldn't know what it was until you tried to put it on (and probably looked at the picture). The top fits via a series of hidden buttons for adjustable sizing, an interior, hidden, elasticated band closure, and an adjustable strap that fits across one shoulder to customize length. These are made from reclaimed nylon to create a patchwork of fabric that's then sewn into skin-tight bottoms. There are two layers—one patchwork outer layer and one legging layer. While they're form-fit, they end in a flared shape, the perfect thing to wear layered underneath something, or on their own, of course. Each of these garments is individually handcrafted, making each piece unique.
